Da Bears Scholarships

On our team, there are three levels of eligibility in participation that a student gets through attendance, community service hours, and payment and the higher the level, the greater the benefits. The 3rd and highest level allows you to travel to all competitions, get a varsity letter, team jersey, and a $250.00 Scholarship. The requirements for this level are the following:

• 80% attendance to team meetings and functions
• Pay the $950.00 participation fee plus an extra $300.00 for a total of $1250.00
• 12 hours of community service sponsored by this team

Very few students manage to become eligible for the 3rd level due to the high requirements in time and devotion to the team. As of this season, only five students are eligible for it. Also, it should be noted that the scholarship a student earns from this level is given to them their senior year, meaning that a freshman in 2012 can potentially earn up to $1000.00 in scholarships by the time they graduate in 2015.
